In singles, senior Mela Jaglarz cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win over South Dakota State’s Daria Yakovleva in the first-round and then advanced to the semifinals due to injury in her draw. Herder advanced to the second-round with a three-set thriller over Iowa’s Danielle Burich, 7-5, 0-6, 7-6(4).
