Tunisia’s ousted former president dies in exile

This triggered a wave of similar uprisingsacross the Arab world.   But he received widespread criticism forsuppressing political freedoms and for widespread corruption. TUNISIA – This country’s 83-year-old formerpresident Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali died in exile, his family said.     Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia when he leftoffice and was living there when he died on Thursday.
